John Schmidt, Senior Product Engineer at CORE, and I were fortunate to attend the annual Utah Association of Counties Legislative Management Conference last week in Ogden, Utah. As an account/client success manager, this show allowed me to get some much-needed face time with existing CORE customers, and it provided an opportunity to gather A LOT of good insight. It was time well spent!
As a reader with vested interest in your local government’s revenue operations, here are a few key takeaways from the conference that might be of interest to you:
- Tools like CORE’s Text-2-Pay accelerates payments and are becoming increasingly vital for creating frictionless revenue collection.
- The percentage rate of service fees is becoming trickier to manage. Local governments are looking to vendors to keep service fees as low as possible instead of taking on the hassle themselves.
- Partnering with vendors who provide state-of-the-art solutions and consultative services is paramount as they understand how technology impacts daily work.
UAC is a great group and provides a lot of great resources at their shows. Personally, for me, it is time well spent in meeting with customers, receiving feedback, listening to them, and providing hindsight as CORE continues to evolve.
