These are exciting times for CORE. My team had the opportunity to meet many of our customers – and some soon-to-be customers! – at Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)’s first on-site national conference since 2019. We also met with GFOA’s Florida chapter (FGFOA) at their Annual Conference a couple weeks after to begin engaging with members in their own home state.
Both events provided plenty of insight into the changing nature of local government finance:
- There was an incredible combination of seasoned and young professionals that visited our booth at each conference. The excitement among young members, many first timers, was palpable as they engaged with our team to learn the importance of automated payment processing and revenue operations. Of course, long-time members and customers from previous GFOA conferences were glad to see us return: “You’re the one with the good pens!” No pens this year. But we had CORE-branded screen cleaning kits as souvenirs at each conference, and a magician performing amazing tricks at the national conference. Both were popular among attendees!
- CORE stood out among other revenue operations and payment processing providers competing for attention in the conference exhibit halls. Attendees verified that CORE’s integration capabilities are what defines our competitive advantage. Plus, our consultative, holistic approach enables CORE to serve as a “one-stop shop” (there’s that phrase again!) for customers who prefer a unified platform to disparate, compartmentalized applications.
